If you have been looking on our website you may be aware of the changes that were brought in, the law changed on 1st April of this year and now because of these changes most solicitors are now seeking to deduct up to 25% from your compensation. However, we still ensure that you receive 100% of your compensation with no deductions, no upfront charges or hidden administration fees.
As these claims can be rather complex and contain several allegations of negligence, clients can be entitled to a large amount of compensation and therefore going with a solicitor that deducts 25% may mean you are “giving away” quite a substantial amount of money. It just doesn’t make sense. If your claim is worth £20,000 then you’re losing £5,000 straight away.
So can we assist with your medical negligence claim? Unfortunately, I cannot say for definite on a blog as with medical negligence claims it all comes down to the individual circumstances. All medical procedures carry with them inherent risks and these can often be mistaken for “negligence!” Unfortunately we are unable to pursue a claim for an inherent risk (unless there is a matter to do with consent!) Therefore, it is important to speak to a solicitor rather than try and decipher by yourself whether you can claim.
We are open 7 days a week and our friendly legal team will be happy to answer your call and advise whether we are able to proceed with your claim. It is often incredibly helpful if you have made a complaint to the offending medical practitioner first and this is something that we will usually ask, so if you have, it might be worthwhile having any responses to hand.
We can be contacted on 0800 634 7575, or by requesting a call back on our form below or speak to us on our online chat facility.
