Many will skilfully neglect to tell you there is a charge. You get the paperwork, and suddenly it’s all about deductions and fees!
Many haven’t updated their websites since the changes. It’s easy to spot because their website content doesn’t address the fact there have been changes.
“100% no-win, no-fee” does NOT necessarily mean 100% compensation. Don’t be fooled by the use of the term “100%” out of context, and don’t trust a firm who tries to trick you in this way.
You may still be asked to pay for an insurance premium by taking out a “no win, no fee insurance product“. We self insure your case so you will not be stung with that as a charge!
What you kind of get by using The Injury Lawyers is actually 110% compensation – the reason for this is that the government increased the general level of compensation by 10% to help offset the fact lawyers are now deducting 25% from payouts. So, because we are not taking anything away from your compensation, you get 110% when compared to the previous way of working. If a lawyer is offering a “100% agreement” then check that they are not going to take the 10% extra you are entitled to receive!
