In my never-ending movement across the Internet I have come across some shady looking sites – ranging from AdSense scraper sites (sites that steal someone else’s content to help promote their on-page adverts) to volatile marketing environments that would humble even the greatest of snakeoil salesmen.
But today has to be the best yet! I mean this site not only ticks every box for snake-oil salesmanship but it goes beyond what I would deem as responsible. It offers golden information within its coveted covers to help John/Jane [delete as appropriate] Doe to claim for a car accident without any legal aid whatsoever. Yep, that ‘s right! This book has it all for the pricey sum of only $19.99 (about ten quid to me and you).
As soon as I came across the page I was thinking “Who in their right mind …” but get this, its on its 5th edition. And since those heady days when it first jumped hot off the printing presses its actually got thinner in the number of pages published.
We’ll the spiel from the moment you land on the site is focused on what the book can deliver to you. All the necessary tools are supplied within and by simply following its step-by-step instructions, backed-up by real life cases, you CAN settle with the insurance companies yourself. Sounds fantastic, where do I sign, hold up, there is a smidgen more…
You see even to a blind man with a screen reader it covers its get-out clause pretty darn well in the second paragraph with this little gem “Now there may be instances when you absolutely need an attorney” and again once more covers it tracks by stating that even if you have to go to an attorney/solicitor/lawyer that the book will have INFORMED you to what should be happening next.
The publishers of this book are trying to make a fast, smart buck, that is so obvious, but at the same time are trying to make a square peg fit into a rounded hole.
Please, don’t be ever put-off seeking advice from a proper experienced injury lawyer if you or a loved one or friend has been involved in a car accident. Each case is unique. Circumstances differ with each unfortunate accident. Its something a book or website will never understand is the personal part of it all.
To me, the crux of this whole shenanigans, is that this book was written by someone in the insurance industry. The very people you pay to be covered with. The same people who will stall a case for years and question everything you put or say in front of them. Now, tell me there isn’t someone, somewhere, having a right good laugh at all this and watching as their PayPal account increments as poor individual falls into their snake-oil spun web of lies!
