April 2013 saw the biggest shake up of the personal injury compensation claiming world when our wonderful government decided to change years of access to justice and fairness by stopping the recovery of all legal fees from the opponent.
It isn’t fair – why should the victim have to pay to claim?
The result is that other lawyers are now taking up to 25% from your payout if you win the case. For the Success Fee, which is one of the unrecoverable fees, a lawyer can take up to a maximum of 25% from your payout to cover this. On top of that, lawyers are asking for payment of insurance as this is no longer recoverable.
So paying to claim is normal for other law firms – but we’re not like other law firms!
100% Compensation Pledge from The Injury Lawyers
We decided to take action. It isn’t fair that you as the innocent victim should have to pay to claim. That’s why we are still offering a 100% compensation agreement for most types of claims, like work accidents and public liability claims. How we do this is simple:
- We still get paid by the other side, we just get less than we used to. We’re happy to take the hit because we take on and win such a high volume of cases.
- We waive the Success Fee deduction, even though we are entitled by law to take up to 25% from your payout.
- We self insure your case so you shouldn’t need to pay for any insurance premiums.
What’s the catch?
There isn’t a catch. We are genuinely offering a 100% agreement. This isn’t some clever marketing ploy. We know that many people find it hard to trust lawyers, but we really don’t want to charge you. We can easily afford to take the hit, and we have been preparing for this for years as we have known for a long time that the government would be making detrimental changes to how claims work.
The key part to reiterate again is that we still get paid for our work; we just don’t get as much. So we’re not working for free, but we are making sure you don’t have to lose any of the money that is rightfully yours to keep.
We don’t want to take your compensation. That’s your money for your pain, suffering, and loss!
