The law changed in April 2013 that stopped lawyers being able to recover all of their legal fees from the opponent. Most law firms will take 25% from their clients, which is the maximum they are allowed to charge a client for the Success Fee (capped by the Government).

We charge the supermarket, or their insurers, for our legal fees. We, and all the other lawyers, can still recover legal fees; we just can’t recover as much as we used to be able to do thanks the Success Fee recoverability change.
We recover what fees we still can, and waive the Success Fee charge.
So how much do I pay?
As long as you comply with the terms of our agreement, you don’t pay anything to us as we recover the legal fees that we still can from the other side. As I said, we’re still getting paid by the other side, we just can’t get as much as we used to be able to due to the changes.
