Slipping claims in general can be quite hard to win. This is normally because a slipping hazard can appear at any time and the law says that those responsible should take all reasonable steps to prevent such hazards occurring.

So there are other things such as deploying signs warning of hazards, or deploying cordons to fence off an area where the leak is affecting, for example.
