A trip to the cinema is the way a lot of us like to spend our evenings, for some it’s the perfect way to spend a first date. Being involved in an accident at the cinema is extremely rare, however nothing is impossible. Before you go into your showing you can buy refreshments to take in including popcorn, drinks or my personal favourite – nachos.
Depending on the size of the screen in your showing the stairs can be quite steep, that’s why it’s important that no hazards are blocking them and that you can see when walking up and down. In the more popular showings people may block the aisles with handbags or empty refreshment containers. These are hazards and could cause someone to trip or fall when using the stairs.
Like any other venue all cinemas have strict health and safety rules which they must follow at all times. They’ll have cinema attendants that check for such hazards and sign off sheets when they have done.
If you become involved in an accident at a cinema it is important that you report this to staff on sight immediately. They should then contact first aid, which will make an initial report of any in juries sustained and how this happened. After such an accident it is best that you seek medical attention, they will then include these injuries on your medical records.
If you have been involved in an accident whilst visiting a cinema then you may be able to make a successful compensation claim. No one should suffer any injury whilst visiting another facility especially through the fault and negligence of another. When pursuing a compensation claim it is advised that you seek legal advise prior to your claim, here at the Injury Lawyers we offer that legal advice free of charge.
If we think you have a valid compensation we will then offer to take on your claim, this will be on a no win no fee basis and we will work with you to get you the compensation you deserve.
